Taking the latest and most advanced techniques and analysis from the world of bond trading and origination and applying them in the Asian context
27 September 2010 - 28 September 2010, Singapore
Why this workshop?
As the European debt crisis gradually unravels it becomes steadily clearer that having access to deep and liquid bond markets is vital to a healthy and resilient economy. It is the stated objective of the Asian Development Bank and other regional authorities to foster the development of these markets. It is also obvious that it may become harder to reliably access funding in the European and North American markets and that therefore as a consequence Asia will need to become more self reliant in the provision of Corporate and Sovereign finance.
This two day course is intended to provide experienced bond professionals in the Asian Regional markets with a detailed analytical framework in the analytical, trading and investor strategies as well as all of the nuances of bond and swap analysis. Each session is liberally illustrated with detailed real and current examples drawn from the current markets. Where appropriate and possible practical, illustrative use will be made both of Bloomberg functionality as well as MS Excel and other methodologies.
The course will also cover complex products and the factors that affect the price of bonds in sufficient depth to allow for high value conversational interaction between sales and trading professionals in the real market.
